DESCRIPTION OF WORSHIP SERVICES

What to expect at a Neighborhood Church weekend worship service

Worship is our response to God for who He is and what He has done. Our services are an opportunity as a family to publicly express our worship. Whether you are a believer in Christ or someone who is investigating what Christianity is all about, you will find the amazing fact of God’s presence through the teaching of His word and our expression of praise here at Neighborhood Church.

When you come you will receive a program that will have information on what songs we are singing and information for you on how to take further steps in getting involved. We have a time of singing, announcements and a message right from the Bible. Our services are 75 minutes in length, or less. You will not be asked to do anything that will embarrass you or single you out.

Our desire is to begin a relationship with you as you seek a relationship with God. Our hope is that you would find us a friendly, safe and inspiring place and that you would sense God’s presence in our midst. Here are a few things you will experience in our services.

MESSAGES
All our worship services have identical teaching times that are relevant and right from the Bible. We will teach through books of the Bible or on real-to-life topics that the Bible answers. To get the most out of the teaching times, bring your Bible. We frequently use the New Kings James Version (NKJV) or the New Living Translation (NLT). You can pick up a transcript of previous messages in the lobby and order a CD as well. Better yet, click here to download past messages.

I HAVE KIDS
Our services are designed for adults and are appropriate for middles-school-aged and on up. We suggest that you send your children under the age of 11 to our excellent children’s ministry during our three Celebration Services.

PRAYER TIME
We believe in the power of prayer and offer a time at the end of each service to pray with a Prayer Team member up in the front. We keep anything you share with us in confidence. If you request, we can pray for emotional, spiritual or physical healing and anoint you with oil. You may also receive prayer by sharing with us your request on the back of the Response Card. You can send our prayer ministry an email right now by clicking here.

RESPONSE CARD
We would like to help you take your next step on your spiritual journey. On the Response Card, you may indicate desire for becoming a Christian, getting involved, officially joining the church or general comments to the staff and leadership. These are collected at the time of Offering.

OFFERING
The time of giving back to God, or offering, is for our church family. We support the church ministries this way and resource ministries locally and globally that meet physical and spiritual needs. If you are a guest with us, we do not want you to feel obligated in anyway to participate. If you would like to give online, you can use our online giving option.

SINGING TIME
We love to sing and this is our expression of worship and invite you join in or simply enjoy the music. If we ask people to stand, this is optional for you, so don’t worry about it. We know that people express their love for Jesus in many different ways. Our desire is that you connect to God and that you would find our services a safe place to meet God.

MANY OPTIONS IN WORSHIP VENUES AND STYLES
Right now we offer three worship styles in four different worship services, totalling 6 worship options on a weekend in Redding (For our new campus in Weaverville click here: Weaverville Outpost). We know people worship in different ways and now have two ways for you to express your worship each weekend. The Celebration, The Well and Classic Services are currently offered.
